Customer Reviews

“Our family was extremely pleased by our entire experience with "Moments...by Pam" photography.  She was very flexible with us when setting up our initial appointment time...and even more flexible when we had to reschedule.  The actual photo session was great!  She made it fun for our kids and was able to use her talent to capture their personalities in their expressions on the pix.  They would go to another photo session with Pam in a heartbeat!  (Not our usual experience with getting professional pix taken!!!)  When we were able to view our proofs on line,  my husband's first comment was "These are the best pictures we have ever had!"  Pam did a wonderful job with choosing backgrounds, the actual photography, and editing our pictures.  The online ordering was nice as we were able to view the pictures at home and then choose which ones we wanted.  This turned our to be our only difficulty with the entire experience...we liked the pictures so much it was hard to choose which ones to order!  We would HIGHLY recommend ‘Moments...by Pam’.”   --Mary G.

“We recently had the pleasure of working with Pam on our first family picture.  Wow!  What a joyful experience!  Pam was very professional, easy to work with, fun and made it so we actually enjoyed the time.  We have a little one and they don't seem to do what you want them to at the right moment!  Pam worked well with him and out of it came the best pictures I have ever seen.  They are fresh, different, beautiful and ours.  Pam, thank you so much for your hard work and for memorializing our memories!”  Lori T.

About Pam

I am a mom, daughter, sister, friend!

I am a flower & nature lover!

I am a lover of texture & color!

I am a lover of Jesus!

I am a photographer!

How I got to be a photographer…

I have 6 children.  I have been a single mom for over 4 years.  I am blessed and surprised by where this passion for photography has taken me.  This journey began simply by wanting a camera “good enough” to take pictures of my oldest son James’ senior year of high school.  Getting a lens “good enough” to take those sport action shots brought a whole new style of photo to my life!  I had no idea what I was buying when I bought my first Camera (Canon Rebel which I am still using) or my first lens.  As I practiced & posted my photos, people liked what they saw, I found I enjoyed the photography as well as the editing process.  My passion became my calling & I saw the door was opening for business, and a means to support my family.  So, here we are.

I give all the GLORY to God for this business.  It is first and foremost HIS business.  And I pray that you will see that as you work with me.  I can’t tell you how many times I have been surprised as anyone when I looked at the photograph that came after a photo shoot.  HIS amazing finger prints were all over it… And HIS finger prints look good!

What to Wear: Family

Are you are wondering what in the world you and your family members are going to wear for your photo session?  This is a very commonly asked question.  Here are some general tips to use as a guideline:

Color is a good thing! While I try to bring in lots of color from wherever we are doing you session, the more color you wear the more fun images will be.  (The only downside to color-reds and greens tend to cast a color in your skin tone that is difficult to process.  You might want to steer away from those.)

Patterns on children are also a good thing, as long as all children are not dressed in competing patterns.  I suggest you start with a colorful pattern piece of clothing you love for your child/children and pull colors out of that when you’re coming up with the outfits for the grown-ups  and other family members.  Try to think of everyone’s clothing as one big outfit, while you might not choose a pattern for anyone, you can achieve lots of color, without everyone being completely matching.

Some cute ideas for boys:
~An unadorned white t-shirt with a simple button down over it, buttoned or open with denim jeans or khakis.
~The layered look with a short-sleeve and long-sleeve on top one another.
~Plaid short with layered polo shirts.

Some cute ideas for girls:
~A simple slip dress with cowboy “girl” boots.
~A patterned skirt with a top of solid “color”.
~A crazy outfit that she always puts on when asked to dress herself:)

A few other things to keep in mind:

  1. Avoid words or big logos on clothing. Your eye immediately jumps to them when looking at your images.
  2. Don’t forget your accessories on women/girls.  Earrings, great necklaces, fabulous shoes, and scarfs all work to enhance images.
  3. Dads – do not wear white socks with darker pants and darker shoes. I know, sorry to even say it, but check the socks before you leave the house.  Also if you are a black watch guy-you might want to take it off for the couple hours that we are together.  Eyes also get drawn to the big, black thing on your wrist when you’re looking at your images.
  4. Remember the key is to “blend”, not to contrast each other, like with mom in a white shirt and dad in a black shirt.  If you are dressing siblings, dress one in a pattern and solid color top or bottom, then choose another coordinating color from the pattern for each other sibling.  Trust me…it will work!

If you can’t decide between something funky and something a little more traditional, bring a change of clothes in the car. We can take a little break halfway through your session and you can all change in the car.

If you need some “clothing inspiration” check out websites like:  Old Navy, GAP, Gymboree, Children’s Place, Matilda Jane.  They have lots of combinations together that you could then find in your local area.

My final and most important advice is to wear something you’re comfortable in.

******************************************************************

Here are a few tips that you may find helpful to read before you order prints from my Zenfolio Site.

*Be aware of cropping.  All of my photos are cropped with an 8 x 10 size ratio in mind.  So if you order a print that is a 5 x 7 or a 4 x 6 you are going to be dealing with different proportions.  A 4 x 5 is the same proportions as a 8 x 10 and is your only option for getting the entire print to show in a smaller size.  The 4 x 6 will either trim from the side of the print or you will get white lines on the sides of the print.

*Zenfolio offers custom cropping by the customer, it also is set up for my approval of your cropping.  So, if I see a questionable crop, I am going to contact you before I approve it for order.

*Printing on your photos is an option that I am pleased to offer.  Please, please, please carefully proofread any printing before ordering.  When printing names, ages, personal information, you are the best person to notice if I have gotten something wrong.  I do my best to get them right of course, but I may miss something.  After your order is printed I cannot guarantee spelling on your prints.  I will gladly do my best to correct any errors found after orders are received, but it will be at the expense of a new print.  And if it is outside of the 30 day window and your files have been deleted from my computer, no more changes can be made.

*You must have a code from me to receive any discounts offered.  You must put those codes in while you order.  No discounts can be given after orders are sent.

*If your order arrives to your home with any damage to the box done by the postal service, the items will be replaced free of charge.

*Your online gallery is only guaranteed for 30 days.  No changes can be made to any of the online proofs after the 30 days are up.  While your gallery is most likely going to continue to remain on the site indefinitely, I cannot guarantee it after 30 days.

*Options such as mounting, lustre finish, & framing are available on the website after you have your item in the cart.  You will find an option in the cart for “frame & mount” by clicking this option you will be taken to a screen that will show you the options and pricing for adding these to your prints.  I recommend that prints larger than 8 x 10 be mounted on a backboard.  This helps with framing large prints & keeps them from wrinkling in the frame.  At this time I cannot manipulate the Zenfolio site to make this mandatory or include it in the pricing, so I have discounted the price of these high quality prints to allow you to add these to your print for a small extra charge.

*Custom ordered items such as cards, photo books, or large amounts of wallets will be ordered directly from me.  Shipping charges may apply to these items separate from the Zenfolio shipping.

*Due to the nature of the product no refunds or returns can be given.
